When I began my business in 2012 I had no idea what would be in store for me as a photographer. I've learned, I've grown, and WE are loving this aspect of our lives. In 2016 we welcomed our 6th and final son and began the
dreaming process goal setting conversations for what 2017 would look like for us. Last year we also started an adventure of creating vinyl decals, etching, and making custom vinyl shirts, so when this year began, we knew we needed to streamline photography and the "crafty stuff".
Shine Like Stars Photography was a great name for me 5 years ago, but since then the "I" in my business has become more of a "we" with my husband, Rob, being a more intricate part of everything. We now photograph weddings as a team, we etch (sandblast) orders together, goodness, we raise our kids and make this family run together, why not a business? Rob and I started brainstorming new names and finding a realistic way to streamline two different
jobs loves to make one business.
I had always thought I would change the name to Ali Gray Creations and Rob really liked A&R Photography. Ali Gray is sentimental to us because it was the name we would have used had we ever had a little girl and A&R stands for "Alicia and Rob". The one thing that kept me from wanting to use Ali Gray is that I didn't particularly want a name as the business name. Therefore, we agreed upon A&R Photography and Design. We don't just do photography so it was necessary to add design so that we can still have two different identities within the business.
Our new website is www.arphotographyva.com.
Rob and I are dreaming BIG, not only for 2017, but for the years to come too. We are looking forward to growth personally and professionaly as we see where God leads us in this journey. 2017 is going to be a year of change but so far the fruit of that change is sweet!
Thanks for your support and we hope you'll book your next photography session with A&R Photography or order an etched stainless steel tumbler from A&R Design!
